Why do paint quotes vary so much between companies?

A big difference in painting costs comes down to the quality of the work. High quality work that lasts the test of time requires prep work which takes time & skill to complete which adds to the cost.

What kind of paint do you use?

We work mostly with Wattyl brand products as we have found them to of the highest quality products while being cost considerate for our clients. However, if you are looking for a particular brand, or colour, please let us know! We can even direct you to expert colour consultants!

We also work with Globalcote products for our roof painting services and use APC (All Purpose Coatings) to supply our epoxy products.

Do you take a deposit?

Yes. We take a 5% deposit to confirm your work, secure space in our schedule & confirm your quoted price. The customer then pays the balance as set out in the painting contract. For larger jobs this usually means progress payments as work is completed and for smaller jobs, the balance is paid at completion of the work.

Can you help with colour selection?

With years of experience, we can suggest options we have seen work well in the past. We also work with a graphic designer to offer a digital overlay service to help your visualise your home’s new look.

Who does the painting/do you hire other people to do the work?

Our small team of highly skilled painters are all employed by employed by Nu-Look Painting. We do not sub-contract work out to other painters or companies.

Our team captain, Justin, quotes your work, oversees the process and often paints alongside the team to ensure we not only meet, but exceed your expectations.
